Zeverland crafting: combine everything
Zeverland's core trick is that nearly every object in the world can be taken apart — and nearly any two items can be smashed together into something new. Here's how the system works and every combination officially shown or seen in playtests so far.

The loop: scavenge → dismantle → combine
- Scavenge. Houses, gas stations, garages, campgrounds — items are physical objects in the world, not loot-table entries. A toilet is a resource node.
- Dismantle. Break found objects down into parts and materials. "Common sense is your best tool" is the studio's actual design pitch.
- Combine. At the combine bench, pick two items and a method — the game's four modes are Glue Bind Embed Weld — and get a hybrid tool with merged stats and durability.
Every known combination
A full recipe database needs real data — it arrives with the demo. Until then, this is the complete list shown officially or captured in playtests:
How combination methods differ
The bench offers four methods — Glue, Bind, Embed, Weld — observed in playtest footage. They appear to decide how parts attach and which stats carry over (welding is for metal, gluing for odd pairs). Precise rules aren't documented yet; we'll map them properly once the demo is playable.
What the community has tried
During the no-NDA second test, players pushed the system well past weapons: tool racks, reinforced doors, absurd Rube-Goldberg contraptions. The studio's official examples set the tone — "dismantle toilets, strap zombie heads to bats, weld a bed to your RV".
Vehicles are crafting too
Vehicles sit at the far end of the same system: weld a bed into your RV to make it a mobile base, armor up a pickup, or turn a truck into a flamethrower platform. The RV update was announced as the next focus after the second playtest, with mounting plates for living, storage and combat modules — plus roof racks, cargo frames and solar panels on the roadmap.
